Using interactive mapping features on Google maps, students in the 7th grade Lead Lab work together in the Beard Center for Innovation to map the Human, Animal, and Environmental resources in their communities as part of an initiative to connect to and understand the region by using a local lens to think about place, community, and access. And to stress to students that good leaders know their communities.
